About
Grand Stage Stories is about making stories legible and alive in a room. It considers writing and performance choices for people who create, study or simply enjoy live stories, without assuming specialist training.
What we cover
The focus is the working craft of storytelling for the stage: scene shape, character decisions, dialogue, use of space and rehearsal. Topics stay close to choices a reader can examine or try in a low-stakes creative exercise.
Who it is for
Writers, performers, directors, students and curious audience members will find ways to name what a scene is doing. The aim is not to prescribe one correct style, but to make alternatives easier to see.
How we approach it
We explain one idea at a time, use invented examples when an illustration helps, and distinguish a craft suggestion from a universal rule. A useful suggestion should give readers something specific to test.
A story should work in the room
We look for choices a writer or maker can test: what the audience sees, hears and understands at each moment.
