Editorial policy
Grand Stage Stories aims to make clear, careful writing about storytelling craft. We state ideas plainly, distinguish observation from opinion and correct material errors when they are brought to our attention.
Accuracy and context
We check factual claims against suitable sources and avoid presenting a personal interpretation as settled fact. Where a point depends on context, we say so. Our craft discussions are editorial perspectives, not guarantees that a particular choice will work for every production or audience.
Independence and partners
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Any paid, sponsored or partner material will be clearly labelled where it appears, so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A partnership does not buy favourable coverage.
Corrections
Readers can use the Contact page to identify a possible error and provide enough detail for us to check it. When a correction is warranted, we amend the affected material and make the change clear where appropriate.
Images and illustrations
Some illustrations may be AI-generated. They are illustrative, not documentary evidence, and we do not present them as photographs of real productions or people.
A story should work in the room
We look for choices a writer or maker can test: what the audience sees, hears and understands at each moment.
